Semantic Search Tools for the Sensor Web
The overwhelming majority of Web information is not available via traditional web search mechanisms because it is not stored in HTML pages. This hard-to-reach content, known as the Deep Web exists in such forms as text libraries, images and databases (including sensor network data). It cannot be searched and accessed using current surface Web search approaches that assign page relevance and authority based on key word repetition and placement, and authority based on linking to other Web pages. Cognometrics develops search methodologies incorporating innovative relevance and authority metrics to improve the discovery and ranking of this important Deep Web content.
